The Milan virtually closed the purchase of Sandro Tonali from Brescia. We told you yesterday the day of the decisive acceleration until the agreement between the director Paolo was reached Maldini and the president of the Rondinelle Massimo Cellino for an onerous loan transaction with the right of redemption. Even with the player the agreement is total with a five-year contract of 2 million euros per season ready for him. What is missing then? A bureaucratic detail which, however, is easily accessible.
MUST RENEW – The detail is linked to the expiry of Tonali’s contract with Brescia which is currently on 30 June 2022. However, the formula of his passage to the Rossoneri (loan with the right) obliges the Brescia club to extend the current contract because, in the event of failure by AC Milan to redeem Brescia, the player would be found with only one year of contract left and a market value, consequently, almost nil. A formula already used by other teams such as Inter with Mauro Icardi before moving to PSG in summer 2019.
THE FIGURES – The agreement between Brescia and the player will be easily reached precisely because it will facilitate his transition to Milan, a true childhood dream of Tonali. A bureaucratic foresight that will not change the figures already outlined among the clubs. Soon the midfielder born in 2000 will be a new AC Milan reinforcement and will arrive in an onerous loan of 10 million euros, with the right of redemption set at 15 million and a further 10 million bonus to which a 10% on the difference will also be added between the final purchase cost and any future resale amount.
